Toy Boats is a clever time-lapse video filmed over three days by Australian photographer Nathan Kaso. The accelerated frame rate caused by time-lapse photography accentuates the frenetic pace of city life. Using a Cannon 5D Mark II and a tilt-shift effect to distort the scale of his subjects, Kaso has miniaturized the bustling harbor of Sydney, Australia in this whimsical and light-hearted short film. All of his videos incorporate time-lapse to evoke a deeper sense of place.
