O Tarné: Portrait of the New Gypsy Generation is an upcoming film by French photographer and filmmaker Cyprien Clément-Delmas. Through interviews and footage of daily life, the film tells the story of a generation of young people between 18 and 25 years old who struggle to balance their desire to assimilate to French culture while simultaneously honoring their Roma heritage. The film combines Clément-Delmas’ talent for documentary story telling and his affinity for still portraiture to explores the loss of a cultural identity.
