In Motion: Daniel Csobot

This series showcases those who have expanded their artistic palate, moving from still to motion, or motion to still.

Daniel Csobot of Novalapse takes a new approach to the macro photography genre with his time-lapse video of plant growth over a five-month period. Using sophisticated macro technology, Cosobot’s short film of the mundane growth cycle of plants has made their development appear alien. The black background presents the plants as specimens for study. This laboratory-like atmosphere and ambient soundtrack is a good fit for his scientific approach to filmmaking.
