Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines FAMILY as a group of people who are related to each other. This is fine with us but we look to expand the definition beyond what we are born into. Let’s include those who we choose to “adopt” as a family, like a close group of friends; a group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation, and a group of things related by common characteristics, as the woodwind family of musical instruments, for instance.
The tone can convey an appreciation of the joys and difficulties experienced by FAMILY in the essentially absurd predicament of getting along and living. FAMILY pictured in environments from homes to city streets to the ends of the earth are all sought. The exhibition is open to all photographers working in color, black & white, film, digital, and beyond, etc. Any format, any camera, any style is acceptable.
Fees: $40 for 5 images. $5 per each additional image up to 10.
