Deadline: March 26
MPLS Photo Center
Jurors: Terry Gydesen and Tom Baker
Taking care of each other. Taking care of ourselves. The awesome responsibility of caring for a loved one in need. Whether it be family, or friend, or neighbor, or a stranger, how we express our love and caring really does matter. These private moments are not easy to photograph. Sometimes awkward, but often therapeutic.
This new Call for Entries at the Mpls Photo Center is an attempt to take stock of how you or others “take care”. Please show us what this rich phrase; “taking care”, means to you. How have you taken care, or given care? What touching moments have you received, or observed? Which expressions of love, or joy, or tragedy, or grief have you had the opportunity, and the courage to photograph. In these moments of intimate expression, our cameras can be intrusive, but can also provide comfort, and care. Most of us have been there at one time or another.
Fees: $30 for 5 images, $10 for each additional image
