Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts
Residencies are intended as professional development opportunities for writers, visual artists, performance musicians and composers in all fields and genres. Proposals for self-directed, creative residencies must be compatible with available working studio spaces, facilities, and resources. Artistic merit and promise are the basis for selections. Both established and emerging artists are encouraged to apply. Any person over the age of 18 is eligible. English language skills are required.
Residencies are two and four weeks in length. This depends on availability and applicant’s ranking in the jury process. Preference will go to those requesting a four-week residency. The Winter/Spring artist retreats run from January – May.
A jury of professionals from the arts and humanities rank residents based on submitted work samples in a competitive selection process for our artist residency programs. Director assigns awards based on juror ranking and submitted proposal.
During their time, residents will be provided a single room with private bath, individual studio space and meals. Breakfast fare is provided for self-service,while lunch and dinner are shared family style in the common area each night.
Residents are responsible for all necessary supplies for their work and transportation costs. A shuttle service is provided both to and from the ranch and Laramie Regional Airport.
