Don’t Take Pictures is pleased to announce the results of our online exhibition, Photograms. Fifty photographs will be on view through November 24. Visit the exhibitions page to view the entire show. From this show, Baldwin Photographic Gallery’s Director Shannon Randol will choose a number of works for exhibition at Middle Tennessee State University.

Known for their x-ray-like aesthetic, a photogram is a camera-less process in which objects are placed on top of unexposed light-sensitive paper and exposed to light. The objects render differently depending on the chemistry to create a one-of-a-kind photographic object. Encompassing processes like traditional silver printing, anthotypes, cyanotypes, and lumens, almost any photographic process and render a photogram. For this exhibition, Don’t Take Pictures presents contemporary photograms.
