Publisher’s Description

"Thinking about the past and future can seem different activities, but when we think about the future, we do the same mental work as when we remember. We just remember a future that hasn't happened yet. These two activities, remembering the past and future, are deeply connected and never stop. We perform them during our entire life, in a more or less conscious way, to define ourselves, to understand our world." — Angel Albarrán and Anna Cabrera

Both born in 1969 and living in Barcelona, Anna Cabrera and Angel Albarrán have been working together for more than twenty years and form a rising duo on the photographic scene. Together, they develop a photographic universe, poetic and sensible where the emotion of the subject meets the beauty of the print. Questioning identity and the traces the camera keeps of the past, their various open series evoke our relationship with time and memory and our perception of the photographic image between reality and illusion.
