The 2020 election is just two weeks away. In an effort to get out the vote, photography organizations Humble Arts Foundation and Flak Photo have launched #PhotographersVote, an Instagram campaign to support and encourage Americans to share why voting matters to them.

The premise is simple: In this age of disinformation, the photo community leverages their social media platforms to share the issues that matter most to them in this election. Photographers are encouraged to post an image on Instagram with a caption about why they are voting this fall, and/or why this election is critical to our collective future. Accompanied by the hashtag #PhotographersVote, partner organizations will share images on their Instagram feeds and stories.

All elections are important but this year’s Presidential election is vital to the future of the United States, the climate crisis, global relations, and human rights. In this pandemic moment when so many people feel helpless, voting is an important step towards progress.
