During the NYC Affordable Art Fair I picked up this packet of Fletcher Sibthorp’s work by Art Dog Gallery. Though Sibthorp is a painter, this promo idea is easily applied to photographers. The packet opens up to reveal a poem on the left side, and a pocket with postcards on the right. The folder pocket is large enough to fit die-cut business card and reveals enough of the postcard to show the subject’s faces.
The seven beautiful matte finish postcards are themselves a sort of mini-exhibition. There are enough to get a sense of Sibthorp’s style and versatility and each one feels precious. The folder itself has a faux-brushed texture that alludes to the textures in his work.
Packed with information, and elegant in design and materials, this promo beautifully communicates the artist’s style and vision.
