Promotional materials are essential for photographers of all disciplines. Each week we feature an outstanding promo based on its design, cleverness, and ability to accurately reflect the photographer’s aesthetic.

Using a found vintage postcard, Michelle Rogers cleverly uses someone else’s image to bring attention to her own work. On the back of the card she attaches a miniature print of her work to look like a stamp. The costuming and anonymity of her subject is an excellent match with the postcard she selected and sets the tone for the portfolio being promoted. It is important to note that this card was sent in with a submission of her work, rather than alone through the mail. Without contact information on the back, it would not be an effective leave-behind. But as accompanying material, it certainly stood out in our pile.
